Our
Story
At Agents for Social Change Foundation, we deeply resonate with Margaret Meed's quote, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it's the only thing that ever has." Teachers and social workers are the backbone of society. They zealously and often, with great personal sacrifices, advocate, educate, empower, and effect change through direct care, instruction, and community and political advocacy.

We are honored to support community helpers and nonprofit leaders through clinical supervision, consulting, and training. We strive to support, educate, and empower our clients so that they, their clients, and their organizations thrive. Funds earned through these activities, combined with donations and grants, allow us to provide scholarships for social workers and teachers to lessen the financial burden of higher education.

Our founder, Kush Desai, has dedicated his life to social work. He has served in organizations working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, domestic violence survivors, older adults in nursing facilities, children and families in the child welfare system, individuals struggling with mental health, and individuals nearing the end of life in hospice.

In his work, Kush witnessed firsthand the disparity between community needs, the individuals and organizations attempting to address them, and the structural and financial barriers that limited
their impact. These experiences and his profound commitment to social justice motivated Kush to establish the Agents for Social Change Foundation.
